Fluorescence polarization assay for detection of antibody to smooth Brucella sp. in most animal hosts and man. This assay is based on the technique described in the OIE Manual of Diagnostic Tests and Vaccines, 2008 edition as a prescribed test for international trade. This is a very rapid test that can be performed in approximately 2 minutes testing serum, plasma, blood or milk. The assay is adaptable to use in the field and in the laboratory. The latter can use a single tube assay approach or a 96 well plate format. This assay requires a fluorescence polarization analyzer. It is a superb screening assay. The format includes 1000 tests plus an additional 100 for testing controls (supplied with kits).
